HISTORICAL STAFFORDSHIRE PLATEWonderful antique Historical Staffordshire plate measuring slightly over 6-1/2" wide. Featuring a scene titled SHELTER'D PEASANTS, they appear to be waiting out a storm under the shelter of a tree - several sheep rest at their feet, as the shepherd stands calmly, resting on his staff. By R. Hall (Ralph Hall), it dates to the 1820s-1830s. Color is rich, vibrant and deep cobalt blue transferware - condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage - very tiny amount of fine utensil wear that can be seen at an angle in the light - does not detract. Just a striking piece of Historical Staffordshire - lovely addition to any collection or display! If questions, please contact me! Thanks!
