Here for auction are two serving dishes made by AJ Wilkinson in their famous "Honeyglaze" style, so names because of the honey colouring of ceramic. These items are both vintage items so if you are looking for something a bit special for your Christmas table this year, you might take a look at these. The first dish is in an elongated elipse shape and it measures 11" or 27.5cms long x 6" or 15cms high and it has a depth of 2" or 5cms, and it has an attractive floral chain design just up from the base in blue and yellow and above that and the rim is a pattern of gold star shapes. The second dish is octagonal in shape and is in a slightly deeper shade of honey than the first item. It measures 8.1/2" or 21.5cms x 6.1/4" or 16cms. It has a depth of just over half an inch or 1.5cms and has a beautiful autumnal/winter design of flowers, leaves and blackberries. There is some overall crazing of the glazing on the smaller plate (due to age) but nothing that detracts from its beauty. Both items are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and both are fully backstamped on the underside.
