OUTSTANDING - VINTAGE C1950'S - HANDPAINTED - JONI ORIGIONAL CHINA - 31 PIECES OF RARE IVY PATTERN - A FULL SERVICE FOR 5 PLUS SERVING PIECES - MFG. BY SOUTHERN BLUE RIDGE POTTERIES - IN NEAR MINT CONDITION. This 31 piece service was manufactured by Southern Blue Ridge Potteries in the 1950's. The service contains: 5 dinner plates, 6 cups & saucers, 6 bread & butter plates, 5 fruit/vegetable bowls, a 11 5/8" by 9" oval platter, and 2 large 9" round vegetable bowls. This RARE Ivy pattern by Joni was the companion to the Joni famous Dixie Dogwood Line of china. Handpainted on this service are Dark Green Ivy Leaves along with it's Brown Vines. On the back of the serving pieces, printed in green, is the script signature, Joni...And beneath the signature is the following: ORIGIONAL - HAND PAINTED - UNDER GLAZE. This over 50 YEAR OLD service is in EXCELLANT Condition, with NO chips, NO cracks, NO stains, NO crazing and only a few small light surface scratches on the platter only...That to be seen the platter must be tipped on edge and the light reflected off the surface. The rest of the pieces, including the dinner plates, have NEVER BEEN USED!!! AMAZING CONDITION considering the age of this china service.
