Please contact us to get photos by e-mail. --> RosenthalErna LangenmantelEmpire Dancer Being offered on this auction is figurine of Empire Dancer made by Rosenthal China, Selb, Bavaria, Germany. This is Rosenthal model number 206. Sculptor Erna Freifrau von Langenmantel-Reitzenstein (1890 – 1968) designed this figurine in 1913. She was a very known artist and designer of silhouettes. She was a member of artist company Mitglied der Münchner Künstler-Gesellschaft (citizens of Munich). For Rosenthal she created three figurines. One of them is this Empire Dancer, another one is Rococo Dancer (model # 207). We do not know the third one. Figurine on this auction is marked on the backside with standard ‘Rosenthale Germany Kunstabteilung Selb’ mark in green. Other marking is incised 206 / 1 and 22 on the backside. Figurine measures about 5 ¼†in diameter on the base and stands 6 ¾†(17 cm) tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. It looks splendid.
