The pattern is called Wheat, and the plate is made on the Melinda shape. The plate is hand decorated in an array of gorgeous colors. It measures about 10 3/8" in diameter. What makes this plate and the entire Wheat pattern so fascinating is that the pattern was done for Sears and Roebuck under their Harmony House mark. You can see examples of the pattern, as well as the mark on pages 260 & 311 of Maxine Feek Nelson’s book “COLLECTIBLE Vernon KILNS. The plate is marked on the back "HARMONY HOUSE HANDPAINTED UNDERGLAZE Wheat MADE IN CALIFORNIA U.S.A. EXCLUSIVELY FOR SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO." Condition is pristine, nearly mint! Virtually no sign of use or wear at all, perhaps the faintest of utinsel marks, and no damage of any kind! No reserve!
