Italian Pottery Woven Basket Offering a lovely art pottery or ceramic basket. It is intricately woven ropes with a solid base. There are applied pink roses on the rim of the basket. Marked on the base "Made in Italy". This is an estate item - age of piece and maker unknown. During the late 1950's and early 1960's Murano glass became the rage. Italian pottery and ceramics also gained in popularity shortly after that. Bowl or basket measures a little over 7" in diameter at the rim. It is 3 1/4" deep. Body of the basket is in Very Good Condition. No Chips, No Cracks. Applied roses - one is perfect and one has a chipped petal on the underneath side and is not noticeable.
